Prunus lusitanica ‘Brenelia’ is an evergreen shrub with deep green glossy leafs with a red petiole. ‘Brenelia’ is a bushy shrub which grows more upright than the common lusitanica. ‘Brenelia’ is suitable as pyramid, as a screen on a stem or just a bushy hedge. ‘Brenelia’ is resistance against diseases and is drought tolerant. The winter hardy is more or less – 15 degrees celsius. Compared to lusitanica and lusitanica ‘Angustifolia’ ‘Brenelia’ tolerate humidity in container as well in the open field. ‘Brenelia’ flowers in May/June with nice deep white flowers. Approx height is 5 till 6 meter and 2 till 3 meter wide.
